St. Ambrose University supports the academic success of all students. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 ("Title IX"), 20 U.S.C. §1681 et seq., is a Federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex-including pregnancy and parental status-in educational programs and activities.
Students may request accommodations during pregnancy, after childbirth, or for other related conditions. Accommodations are tailored to each student and as such they will vary from student to student. Some examples of potential accommodations include:
Accommodations for students originate through the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC). It is the student's responsibility to contact ARC and initiate the conversation. Employees should arrange accommodations through Human Resources (HR).
Lactation rooms are available on the main campus (Bride's Room in the Chapel).
